...at the 20 year celebration party of Glen Howells Architects in Birmingham

amongst many other fabulous contemporary projects, Glenn Howells Architects in 2004 to developed proposals for the conversion of the Rotunda in Birmingham’s city centre. The Rotunda, one of Birmingham’s best known (and loved) landmarks, is a Grade II-listed structure completed in 1965.

Its conversion from grim offices to 234 high quality residential apartments was completed in 2008 and included the creation of a double-height reception area and the re-cladding of the façade to improve its appearance.

The final 92 apartments sold within three hours of their release...

 

 

 

 

Lov Li have been shopping for furniture @ Fragile Design, Bham

We have spent the morning trying out sofas and shopping for a few bits and pieces for our new office, at Fragile Design at The Custard factory, Birmingham. 

 

We chose a 60"s coffee table and this fabulous Guy Rogers Kyoto Studio Couch/Day bed...  it transforms from a 5ft sofa into a 6ft day bed, circa 1961. We are however having it re upholstered in a lovely mustard tweed fabric.....perfect for when one of us is in need of a nap during the day!
