Lov Li really love this song......

Jessie J - Price Tag ft. B.o.B.

Buy a Rob Ryan for Haiti charity fundraising print

The print can be bought from Etsy for £200.00

This is a two colour hand-pulled print designed solely to raise money to help the children of Haiti rebuild their lives. Aside from Etsy and Paypal fees, Every penny of every print goes to Unicef's work for children in Haiti. This means £187 from every print sold will go directly to Unicef. If the whole edition sells, we could raise over £37,000.

The print reads: ‘We are all part of each other and this is my promise, I won’t pass you by and I won’t ignore you and look the other way but I’ll help you build your nest again. This is my promise’

Every print is signed and numbered in an edition of 200

Paper size: 50.8cm X 68.5cm

Print size: 54.3cm x 39cm

All prints come with an illustrated authentication which is also screenprinted.

If you have a blog or a website and would like to post this listing to help raise as much as we can, please feel free.

You can use the photos and text from Rob's blog to re-post on your own site at www.rob-ryan.blogspot.com

things we're Lov ing Thursday...Sonia Rykiel @ ASOS

SONIA BY SONIA RYKIEL Spring Summer has landed in ASOS

We love the quirky French theme running through the collection

Launched in 1968, family-owned Parisian boutique label, Sonia Rykiel, revolutionised feminine tailoring by introducing a hemless, inside-out stitching technique. The brand’s diffusion line, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, exists through the same ‘un-fashion’ philosophy, delivering their signature Parisian chic across a vibrant, playful collection. Expect witty slogan knits, nautical stripes and cutesy detailing, in a range of ready-to-wear garments, shoes and accessories.

Les Arts Decoratifs - Paris

Whilst in Paris I visited Les Annees 1990-2000.  Volume II. Read more about this exhibition below:

One hundred and fifty designs, selected from the most emblematic collections, recreate the universes of the designers who contributed to these movements through their approach, stylistic experimentation and relationship to the profession, forging an often subtle and sometimes violent mixture of traditional craftsmanship and industry. The leading representatives of the various ‘schools’ – Belgian, British, urban, minimalist, haute couture, independent – all explored a particular passion and savoir-faire. With each collection, either paying tribute to their predecessor or establishing themselves as the figurehead of an emerging movement, these designers asserted their originality in increasingly elaborate shows.
Among the emblematic designers represented: Martin Margiela, Issey Miyake, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen and Helmut Lang

Lov Li's fav song of the day.....

Laura Marling - New Romantic

Lov Li @ Premiere Vision

We have just returned from Premiere Vision in Paris to get a round up of the key fabrics, colour and prints for next season.

Key trends for spring/ summer 2012 include impression prints and botanical washed out florals. The seasons look is 'Colourful paleness', there was lots of bleached out denim and there is a just washed, slightly lived in look to dresses and trousers. Irregular dyed effects and overdyes give a slightly haphazard yet unique look to prints.

There is a strong African influence- think tie dye and abstract. Oriental ceramics and Japan-style mini graphics are also key.

Lets get to work peps!

Frederic Malle Parfums

Lov Li have just returned from Paris and couldn't help but stop by Frederic Malle to stock up on some of my favorite scent En Passant created by Olivia Giacobetti.

En passant
Pause at the edge of a garden in springtime and breathe in fragrant lilac whipped by the wind and you get… EN PASSANT Olivia Giacobetti's "impressionistic" fragrance plays with one simple note - white lilac - captured at an instant in time. The composition glorifies this scent from nature and marries it to watery notes, orange tree leaves, cucumber and wheat. Radiant and serene.
